Up for sale is a rare, collector-grade piece of American horological history: a 1951–1953 Elgin DuraPower « Tank-style » men’s dress watch. This offering is a true « Full Kit »—complete with its original burgundy velvet clamshell presentation box, the original cardboard factory outer sleeve stamped with reference 6519F, and the original factory guarantee insert booklet. Finding mid-century timepieces with their fragile, matching paper ephemera completely intact is an exceptional rarity for vintage watch enthusiasts.
